I agree with what you're saying but I also think that tumblr is kind of trying to get people to seek professional help as opposed to just blogging about their problems. I mean you can blog all you want but if you need genuine help, posting pictures of your cuts won't get you very far, also it is the internet and people are assholes it could very easily back fire on you.
Some people can’t afford help so this is all they really can do.
Poor people exist and treatment is damn expensive.
