I LOVE what you just said about that point. It seems that many people who support cutters (support helping them to stop etc) like to say that no one does it for attention. I think that's bad because the fact is sometimes that's exactly the reason! The answer isn't to deny it, because that sends a message that it would be a "bad reason". I think it's better to acknowledge it and say "yeah, sometimes that's the reason so obviously it's a problem just as much as someone who cuts for something else"

It’s still a problem, they still need that attention. Their need for attention is clearly a pretty serious one if they’re going that far.
SOMETHING is going on here when they go that far, wouldn’t you say? I sure think so.
Doing it openly or not it’s still a problem, a very serious one.
