NO NO NO it would definitely NOT be better. There are people who struggle with self-harm or eating disorders, and tumblr is their diary, their only reprieve. They use it to describe their struggle, but to also vent and it helps them feel better. Not to mention, it is also helpful to connect to people who have the same issues and then to have someone who understands when you want to talk about these things. Hiding topics like these are the completely wrong way to go. No.

Exactly, all of this. I hate that this new policy could cause people to lose their communities, okay yes the pro-ana communities usually are all about furthering the problem and that’s not really good but cutting communities aren’t, they’re entirely about helping each other out, trying to get better and giving people someone to talk to because so few people know anyone in their real life who they can’t talk to it about or if they do the person doesn’t really understand because they’ve never had that problem and the only advice is to “stop” like it’s that easy.

It’s just sad, it breaks my heart that so many people are probably going to lose the one place they have in the world where they’re comfortable, where they can talk and express themselves freely. It really does.

They’re all going to feel so lost, they probably already do…
